ANGELS & MIRACLES: New Age of Unity & Synthesis

Do You Believe in Angels? Do You Believe in Miracles?

Miracles have been occurring in increasing numbers in the last three decades. Share International connects these miracles to a bigger story: the emergence of a group of spiritual teachers at this critical time.

At their head is Maitreya, the World Teacher. Expected by all religious groups under different names, he comes not as a religious teacher, but as an educator in the broadest sense, for people of all faiths and those of none. His mission is to bring the nations together in brotherhood, and to inspire the creation of a new civilization based on justice, sharing and world peace.

The dawning of the New Age of Unity and Synthesis is upon us. With Maitreya and his group working openly in the world, offering their guidance and teachings, humanity is assured not only of survival but of the creation of a brilliant new civilization.

Come and share our Message of Hope.

The Power of Empathy

header8

 NVC Community

EMPATHY IS A QUALITY OF CHARACTER THAT CAN CHANGE THE WORLD

In Compassionate Nonviolent Communication (NVC) we come to understand Empathy as the capacity to be fully present with another, accompanying them as they experience and/or express what’s alive for them in a given moment.  We learn the skill of being in spacious, non-judgemental presence as we listen.

Date: Sunday 21 August 2016
Time: 2pm-6pm
Venue: see below

All Late Bookings Are Welcome and the door is always open on the day – no one is turned away 🙂

The Power of Empathy:

Empathy is at the very heart of NVC and Compassionate Communication.  It is a profound and total listening, neutral and deep, that does not look to influence the other or the quality of what is being said.  It is being fully present in the moment and listening deeply to the real needs of the person speaking.  While our usual habit is to listen from a place of judgement and evaluation, developing EMPATHY and SELF-EMPATHY skills brings us to a place of connection and harmony within ourselves and others.  This workshop will help move us towards a new way of thinking and being, that brings healing compassionate connection into our life, through the Power of Empathy.

What is Self-Empathy?

In Self-Empathy we practice the basic skills of NVC (Observation, Feelings, Needs and Requests) within ourselves silently.  We pay attention to what’s going on within, what thoughts and stories are running in our minds, the bodily sensations we are experiencing, and what we notice ourselves doing and saying and the ‘stories’ we tell ourselves.

What Will You Experience In This 4 Hour Workshop?

Summary of the 4-step NVC process
The 4 ways of hearing
The Empathy Dance integration
Strategies & Requests
Explore what Empathy is in the NVC framework
Role Playing Conflict Situations With Empathy
Strengthen your PRESENCE skills
Experience an Empathy Circle
The Empathy Dance to NVC Songs
Develop Emotional Intelligence & Literacy (EQ)

Your Facilitator:
Sophia initiated and founded the NVC grassroots movement in the Wellington Region more than 10 years ago, and organised many workshops attended by keen participants throughout NZ.  She trained with the founder of NVC, Dr Marshall Rosenberg, and also Robert Gonzales, Miki Kashtan, Sura Hart, Jean Morrison, Gina Lawrie and many other overseas trainers.  She has facilitated a wide range of NVC workshops for community activists, spiritual and social change groups, including Death Cafes, Grief & Loss with Compassion & Empathy, Intentional Living, Steiner and Buddhist communities, The Occupy NZ & Wellington movements, Inter/national Peace and Disarmament groups, alternative Adult Education, teachers, parents and children in school communities and the general public.  She resonates deeply with the Spirituality of NVC and an abiding empathy for First Nations, the plight and healing of the world’s indigenous people, through NVC and cultural-spiritual awareness.

Transforming Depression, Anger, Guilt & Shame

Do You Play the Blame Game of Who’s Right and Who’s Wrong?

Depression, Anger, Guilt, Shame  (DAGS) are caused by moralistic judgements or what we call Life-alienated thinking in Compassionate Nonviolent Communication (NVC).

We direct our Anger outward by blaming others, and direct it inward by blaming ourselves, which result in the arrival of its first cousins – Guilt, Shame and Depression.

Anger tells us we think the ‘bad person’ is somebody else.
Guilt, Shame and Depression tell us we think we are the ‘bad person’.

These are the feelings that result from Life-alienated thinking, moralistic judgements and the ‘domination’ and ‘power over’ systems we live in every day of our lives, in our homes, schools and workplaces. They lead to a culture of violence and bullying, adversely affecting others, or self-harm towards ourselves.

In NVC we call Depression, Anger, Guilt, Shame important alarms which let us know we are disconnected to our needs, values and what matters deeply to us.

What Will You Experience at this Workshop?
1) Life-serving vs Life-alienating communication
2) Unpacking the language of Depression, Anger, Guilt, Shame (DAGS)
3) Acknowledge without resistance the painful feelings of unmet needs and the ‘Jackal Show’
4) Recognize that DAGS do not arise because of another’s words or behaviour
5) Find the ‘gift’ beneath the Anger and transform it into Life-serving energy and to ‘make life more wonderful’
6) Shift your thinking patterns and self-talk that lead to Guilt, Shame and Depression
7) Learn to Mourn the ‘sweet pain’ of unmet needs, painful relationships and to make requests of yourself and others
8) Experiential DAGS Dancing on the ‘Flower of Life’
9) Role Playing yourself and those with whom you have an ‘Enemy Image’
10) Build your EQ Literacy with Empathy, Self-Compassion, Gratitude and Appreciation

NVC supports connection with oneself and others so everyone’s needs are equally valued. This allows people to create strategies and meaningful solutions that resolve issues and create thriving relationships in all aspects of life. Using NVC Empathy tools, participants will learn how to transform everyday blame, shame, and critical expression into interactions that focus on mutual human needs. People who practice NVC have found greater authenticity in their communication, increased understanding, deeper connection and satisfying conflict resolution.

Pre-requisite:
If you have attended a NVC Foundation training or The Power of Empathy workshops, and read, studied, watched videos and practised NVC, then this would be helpful to enrich your experience. If you are a “natural giraffe” and/or think you can gain insights into the NVC Empathy process at work, you’re very welcome to join us. There is learning to be gained at every level, as an observer or participant, and no one is ever turned away.

Victory Victorious

A broken heart is attached
To the illusion of separation
From the Cosmic Magnet of Being
The Eternal Love you are
Your Sacred Heart is empowered
By forgiveness and grace
Transcending limitations
Fettering your true Spirit
Precious and unique thou art
A jewel in the grand design
Of the Divine Plan in action
Manifested through Love
Just as love breaks your heart
So Love heals and makes whole
All that is sacred and pure
Worthy of your True Self
And in small deaths
You journey to stand under
And journey to under stand
You are Love
You are Victory
You are Victorious!

Preparing for a ‘Good Death’

      ~ PREPARING FOR A GOOD DEATH ~
Life is a Song. Death is a hymn. Let your voice be heard. ~ Sophia Tara

Death Cafe Wellington – Sunday 10 July 2pm-4pm
Preparing for a ‘Good Death’ – Sunday 10 July 4pm-6pm
Come to one or both. See Events Sidebar.

In the bustle of daily living, have you paused to give thought or consideration in preparing for your sacred exit and Good Death – even if you are able bodied and in good health?  Has the possibility of a sudden death by accident, misadventure or an unexpected diagnosis of terminal illness ever crossed your mind?  Are you prepared to face your own inevitable mortality?

The morbid fear of death has been the bane of human existence since time immemorial.  Some cultures have celebrated it as part of the normal cycle of life, yet many Western cultures like ours, resist facing it and live in constant fear of death.

Therefore we have no public education systems that teach us the true meaning of Life and Death and how to prepare ourselves and loved ones for its inevitability. Many churches and religious institutions offer no pragmatic or emotional support and comfort.  We are left to educate and inform ourselves and one another.

Exploring Life’s last sacred frontier of Death and Dying will be Self-Empowering and help to mitigate the fear of death.  At the end of life, a Good Death is all we can hope for – to Plan and Prepare for it in advance will be a gift to ourselves and to our loved ones.

What is a ‘Good Death’
According to well researched sources, here are 7 ‘Good Death’ Points to Ponder:

(1) To Experience as little pain as possible.
(2) To Recognize and resolve interpersonal conflicts.
(3) To Satisfy any remaining wishes that are consistent with your present condition.
(4) To Review your life to find meaning.
(5) To Give control to a trusted person, committed to ensuring the kind of death you desire.
(6) To Protect yourself from needless medical procedures that may dehumanize or demean you.
(7) To Decide how social and how alert you want to be.

What Will You Experience at this ‘Good Death’ Workshop?
* Time to reflect and think about the meaning of a Good Death
* An unique experiential exercise to help you clarify many of the 7 Good Death Points listed
* A document of your unique Good Death exercise to take home and refine over the years
* A gathering of like-spirited souls who wish for a ‘Good Death’ like yourself
* A Good Death Circle of Conversation and Sharing
* To be seen and heard with Compassion and Empathy
* Your Feelings and Needs acknowledged and honoured
* To ‘Give Sorrow Words’ and to weave a ‘Good Death’ into the Tapestry of Life
* A Song and Dance of Celebration to Life and Death

Sophia has facilitated workshops on Self-Compassion, Empathy and Compassion for others within the larger framework of ‘Transforming Planetary Despair’ exploring and “Feeling the pain of the world” repressed fear, isolation and despair for our global future.

Death Cafe Wellington – Sunday 10 July 2pm-4pm
Preparing for a ‘Good Death’ – Sunday 10 July 4pm-6pm
Come to one or both. See Events Sidebar.

We meet at the Trinity Union Church, 11 Hall Avenue (off Hall Street), Newtown, Wellington to exchange conversations about Life & Death, to ponder, wonder and celebrate the Art of Living and Dying in compassionate community. Come on down and share your thoughts, anxieties, fears, stories, and enjoy an afternoon conversing and mingling with like-spirited warm-hearted people. Let’s take death gently out of the closet and make a friend, not a foe, of this inevitable companion to us all!

Death Cafe allows people to talk about death and grief, but also sparks those conversations about life. These conversations will be free from ideology. A Death Cafe principle is not to lead participants towards any conclusion about life, death or life after death, apart from their own thoughts. Our conversations will be respectful to all. These conversations will be compassionate and empathic in supporting everyone to express themselves in a non-judgemental safe environment and sacred space.

Death Cafe is an open forum for the public to discuss any issues surrounding life and death. The goal is to encourage people to feel comfortable with the topic of death and dying. From the day we are born, we know not when this hour may be our last. We never know when death will come to any of us, so taking time to ponder and to be heard, to be prepared and have knowledge to make individual unique choices of our desired exit, is a blessed gift to ourselves and loved ones.

Calling all Explorers of Life & Death Who wants to think about death? Not many people, but we do. It’s part of the cycle of life. Society doesn’t make it easy to talk about death. The key is getting over our death anxieties and to enrich the quality of our lives. What do we want to do with our lives? What do we want to accomplish most? How do we want to be remembered? Such questions encourage us to face our own mortality and to live each day more fully.

We welcome everyone regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, faith, creed, sexual orientation, disability, socio-economic class, or any other humanade condition. We are creating a sacred space where people can come to experience connection to one another in sharing their fears about death, and their stories about life. It is a celebration to living and dying as a natural cycle of existence.

Tea and Cake are served to sweeten the shared conversations. Come join us.
Suggested Donation of $10 per person will help us with cost of venue, refreshments, resources – received with heart-felt gratitude 🙂

UFOs & Their Spiritual Mission

UFO Talk 25 April 2016 Poster

DO YOU BELIEVE IN UFOs?
An unprecedented number have been seen in NZ skies over recent years. World-wide UFO sightings and reports abound on the internet, and Astronauts testify to their existence.

ANCIENT UFOs
Since the dawn of humanity’s history, there have been common myths and legends of UFOs, seen as flying carpets in ancient Arabia, with Biblical figures such as the prophet Elijah taken to heaven in a chariot of fire, the Star of Bethlehem at the birth of Jesus guiding The Magi and magical flying machines, called Vimanas, of ancient India and China.

MODERN UFOs
Today, an unprecedented number of UFOs have been sighted 24/7 across the world.  Why are they here? Where do they come from? What is their mission? Do they herald a global spiritual awakening? Are they here to help Planet Earth at this turning point in human history? What is Earth’s future and destiny? Is there hope for us?

ALL WELCOME
We have spoken publicly about UFOs and Their Spiritual Mission for several years. Come and enjoy an evening of inspiring dialogue and a colourful multi-media presentation about this amazing global phenomena, and its spiritual connection to Planet Earth.

Love Life & Death

LOVE LIFE & DEATH synthesises ideas, concepts, information and strategies to offer an active vision of 21st century Education. Planet Earth entered the Age of Aquarius in 2009. It is the Age of Unity, Synthesis, Brotherhood and Sisterhood. The cosmic magnet and Aquarian energies sweep all before it. The Soul of Humanity has come of age! Increasingly we will comprehend our innate raison d’etre within the Divine Plan. The Science of the Soul will be recognised and accepted as the indwelling divinity that unites all of creation.

Soul Education will ensue in earnest, for it holds the key to our purpose in Life, our understanding of Death and Rebirth, and a comprehensive awareness of the immutable universal Law of Cause and Effect (Karma).

Gradually the evolution of consciousness will proceed accordingly; war, hunger and poverty will end; we will increasingly re-cognise each other as Souls in incarnation. With this conscious awareness, we will actively demonstrate the Divine Soul qualities of Love, Wisdom, Joy, Unity, Sharing, Compassion, Empathy, and become World Citizens, responsible for the restoration and custodianship of Planet Earth – our Home.

Soul Heart

In preparation for the Era of the Soul and the Age of Love, we offer courses, public talks, lectures and workshops on the following:
* Science of the Soul – constitution of humanity
* Soul Psychology – the 7 Rays of Energy
* Soul Purpose – your Soul Ray sweet spot
* Soul Doulaship – comfort & support for the death journey home
* Death Cafes – minimise the fear of death
* The Art of Death & Dying – a good death
* Transmission Meditation – global group service Network of Light
* The World Teacher For All Humanity – He Is Here!
* UFO & Crop Circle Mystery – we are not alone
* Compassionate Nonviolent Communication (NVC) – Speak Peace in a World of Conflict
* Empathy Matters – develop Emotional Intelligence
* Empathy Cafes – community connection & support
* “Bully” Busters – busting with Empathy & Compassion
* Ukuleles for Peace – community building with music, fun & play

We welcome all individual and group enquiries for facilitating workshops in your communities, presenting public talks and delivering lectures/seminars on any of the above subjects.

We will be working towards global webinars and opportunities for online courses, presentations and discussions.
